To the Arctic book Cover

We are excited to announce a new book publication by Braided River, featuring Florian's latest arctic photography work. "To the Arctic" will be published in 2011 to accompany the release of the new IMAX® movie "To the Arctic 3D", a MacGillivray-Freeman film that premieres in early 2011. The book will have a panoramic format with a stunning documentation from the arctic environment.

The book will be presented to members of Congress to urge them to protect the arctic from oil and gas exploitation. Simultaneously, a second, smaller book based on the first will also be published, and serve as a souvenir to extend the IMAX experience to arctic enthusiasts.

Speaking for the arctic with Earthjustice!

G2 Gallery

After several days of speaking engagements in the west coast, Florian needed to continued his journey to the arctic to document this threatened ecosystem. But he left with great motivation after seeing people's reaction to his images and message on the urgency to protect the arctic from off-shore oil drilling. Every venue was full to the top with engaged people wanting to know more about the arctic and get involve in its protection.

G2 GalleryWe just want to say thank you to all of those who were able to attend. We were so excited to see a very mixed crowd with young people who wanted to learn more about the issues, to long-time conservationist and activists.

The exhibit opening at the G2 Gallery was packed with 500 people and the Seattle event had an incredible full house as well!!

More speaking events will be schedule for the fall of 2010 in the East Coast, so stay tuned for upcoming info.

If you are in the Los Angeles area, don't forget to go by the G2 Gallery and check out the exhibit. If you do, make sure to say hi to their incredible staff, they are amazing women (and two very lucky men) working hard in promoting conservation through the images hanging in the gallery!
